BEE Project and Partners Launch “Green Energy Future for All” Program at CAST Tech High School

San Antonio, TX – October 24, 2024 – BEE Project, in collaboration with prominent sponsors including Energy Bees, Guidehouse, CLEAResult, and Frontier Energy, is excited to announce the launch of the "Green Energy Futures: Energy Efficiency and Resiliency for All" program at CAST Tech High School in San Antonio. The two-week immersive initiative, beginning this week, aims to inspire the next generation of environmental leaders by introducing students to the principles of energy efficiency, sustainability, and energy resiliency, with a focus on addressing the challenges faced by low-income communities.

Designed to align with the Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills (TEKS) standards for Environmental Sciences, the "Green Energy Future for All" program combines project-based learning with real-world applications. High school students will work hands-on to understand energy consumption, explore sustainable solutions, and develop practical approaches that can make a real impact on energy resiliency in their own neighborhoods.

"We are thrilled to empower students to not only learn about the critical issues of energy equity but also to design tangible solutions that could improve the lives of their neighbors," said Sadie Bronk, Executive Director, BEE Project. "Thanks to our generous sponsors, this program is an incredible opportunity for students to explore green career pathways while making a positive difference in their communities."

Throughout the two-week program, students will engage with industry professionals and experts from Energy Bees, Guidehouse, and CLEAResult. They'll dive into topics such as renewable energy technologies, energy-efficient home systems, and how low-income households can benefit from adopting these innovations. The program will culminate with students presenting their energy solutions to a panel of educators, community leaders, and energy professionals.
